What is the difference between a Lace Front and Full Lace wig?
A full lace wig is a hair unit that covers your entire scalp. It can be pulled up into a full high ponytail and when properly installed the unit appears to grow naturally from the scalp. A lace front wig is normally worn at the front to middle of the scalp from ear to ear with your own hair from the middle onward. It cannot be worn into a high ponytail but you can wear a low pony tail. This is usually for people who have a thinning hair line or frontal hair that needs to be covered but still have healthy hair and the desired color, style etc. growing naturally from their head beyond the front.

What are the differences in the straight hair?
We use 100% Human Indian Remy Hair in all of our lace front wigs. But there are differences in the type of “straight” hair you choose. Natural Straight (virgin hair) - This hair is free from chemical processing of any kind. It only comes in natural colors such as black, off black, dark brown, and medium brown. Silky Straight - A chemical process has been added to the hair to give it a more silky texture. Yaki Straight - A chemical process has been added to the hair to give it the look of African American permed hair.

What are the different types of lace?
French Lace: Is a good choice especially for bases. It is very durable and has good disappearing qualities on the hairline as well. It is available in bleached white, pink, orange yellow, tan, brown, black colors, etc. If matched in proper color with the own skin tone is undetectable as much as Swiss Lace. Swiss Lace: Is a little thicker than the Super Fine Swiss but does disappear on the scalp very well and is more durable than the Super Fine Swiss. Super Fine Swiss Lace: Is the thinnest and most delicate lace available and can be used for the front hairline, it can also be used for the entire base but French Lace is recommended.

Can I go swimming with my Remy Lace Wig?
Yes, however please wash the hair right after swimming, heavy spa, or exercising etc… When dirt accumulates including sweating, hair tangles! Please note: Chlorine and salt water have been known to damage a lace wig. Pools that have chlorine, jacuzzis, saunas and ocean salt water can cause damage to a lace wig. They are extremely alkaline and not only bleach out the color, but also open up the cuticle layer of the hair shaft increasing the chances of tangling. So it is important to properly wash your hair after. Also it is recommended to braid your hair and pin it out down before swimming to avoid heavy tangling.

How do I wash my Remy Lace Wig?
You can wash your wig as often as you like. It is best to wash while the wig is on your head in the shower because of the downward motion of the water. Do not scrub your scalp this will tangle the wig. Instead its best to use a spray bottle to lather the hair with soap and let the water run down the wig in its natural direction. If you do remove the wig first before washing comb out the knots or tangles first then spray the hair in a downward motion running your fingers through the hair to open it up for the soapy water than in a deep sink or a tub let the water run down the hair while you hold it up. Never lay it in the tub and let the water run down unless it is secured to a wig stand that will stand up in the tub or sink. Afterwards pat dry with a towel or just allow to dry, as it dries with a wide tooth comb softly and carefully comb the hair to detangle it. After it dries attach and style or cut as normal.

How do I attach/detach my Remy Lace Wig?
Lace hair units are best attached with adhesive glue and/or tapes specifically designed for lace wigs. If you are new to wearing lace wigs, you may want to use lace front tape because of its ease of use. Before you apply an adhesive, place the unit on your head to determine how much lace will be trimmed. After the excess lace has been trimmed, you may apply an adhesive to the entire hairline one inch at a time. Please follow the specific application instructions for each type of adhesive for the best results. The lace is then applied over the adhesive and held in place for it to dry. Once the glue has completely dried, or the tape has set, the hair can be cut and/or styled. Allow about 10-15 minutes for the lace or tape to set before styling. To detach use a lace hair remover or at least a 99% pure rubbing alcohol which can be found in most pharmacy or medical supply stores. Remove slowly using a cotton swab or Q-tip to slowly remove the lace from the scalp. After the wig is remove fully remove the tape or glue from your hairline and the wig before washing by using the remover.

Can I style the wig myself?
Lace wigs can be styled just like regular hair. You can perm it, dye it, set it, blow dry it, hot curl it, etc. Full Lace Wigs are designed to blend along the hairline - front and back. You can wear your wig in a ponytail or any other up-do style. Lace front wigs can be pulled back for off-the-face styles. The back of the wig is made in the traditional cap construction.
